Monthly report

The monthly report summarizes the previous month across all your vehicles – your own and the ones shared with you (for shared vehicles only your own trips). You get it in two places:

  • as a page in the web app under Statistics › Monthly report, for any month, and
  • as an e-mail on the first of each month.

Contents​

  • Your month in numbers: distance driven, the business share and the number of trips, split by category – including kilometres of other drivers and kilometres without a trip according to the odometer.
  • Your vehicles: each vehicle with its trips, odometer reading and open trips; shared vehicles with your own trips only.
  • Open trips: trips still waiting for a category, with the total distance. While they are open they are missing from the business share, and the month cannot be closed. Older open trips from earlier months are counted as well.
  • New places: places you went to for the first time that month – no trip led there in the months before. Saving a place shows its name in the trip list and suggests a category and purpose for future trips there.

On the page you can assign a category to open trips and save new places directly. Use Previous month / Next month to browse.

E-mail delivery​

The e-mail is sent on the first of each month from 06:00 local time. If the server was not running then, it is sent later, up to the 7th of the month. Each report is sent once per user and month.

The e-mail requires that the administrator has set up e-mail sending (SMTP). Without SMTP the page still works, but no e-mail is sent.

Switching it off​

The e-mail is on by default. Switch it off (or on again) under Profile › Notifications or directly on the monthly report page.

Testing​

In the :dev image the page has a Send by e-mail now button that sends the month shown right away. It is meant for testing and is not available in :latest (FEATURE_MONTHLY_REPORT_SEND_NOW).
