Export and compliance

Export

Export creates your logbook as PDF or CSV for a period. Choose the period (presets: year to date, last month, last quarter), and optionally a vehicle and a trip type. Check completeness calculates the statistics for the selection first.

The PDF layout follows the country profile of your home country (set in Profile › Home country and tax export). Profiles exist for Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom; they set the layout, language, units and guidance. The PDF contains:

  • the country profile and a summary,
  • all trips with purpose, contact and special category, with times in the local time of each trip,
  • odometer readings,
  • the changes from the trip history,
  • an appendix with the requirements of the country profile.

The CSV export contains the same trips as a table, including the special category.

note

The country profile structures the report. Whether the tax office accepts it depends on complete and timely recording and on the rules that apply to you. Fahrtenbuch does not give tax advice.

The Android app uses the same server export in server mode.

Compliance and closing

Compliance checks your logbook and lets you close finished periods.

  • Issues: errors and warnings in your trips, for example missing categories or inconsistent times. Filter by severity and open the affected trip directly.
  • Revision chain: every change to a trip is chained to the previous one. The chain shows intact or broken; a broken chain points to changes outside the application.
  • Monthly check: the share of the kilometres driven according to the odometer that is covered by recorded trips, for the last months.

Closing a period

Close period locks a finished period, for example a tax year. Give it a label and confirm.

  • Closing is permanent. Trips and tags in the period are locked at database level and can no longer be changed – neither in the web app nor in the Android app, the trip editor or by map matching.
  • A period can only be closed when all its trips are finished and categorized (no unclassified trips). The monthly report lists open trips.
  • A period cannot be closed while the revision chain is broken.

Closed periods are listed with their closing date.
