Vehicles
Manage your vehicles under Vehicles. Each vehicle has its own trips, odometer readings and, optionally, a leasing or financing contract.
Vehicle details
- Vehicle name, license plate and odometer.
- Financing: owned / no financing, leasing or financing. Optionally enter contract start, contract end and mileage limit; the statistics then forecast the mileage.
- Bluetooth MAC: the car's Bluetooth device for automatic trip start in the Android app. It can also be assigned in the app.
- Employer mileage allowance (€/km): see below.
Dates and odometer values are displayed according to your display formats.
Employer mileage reimbursement
If your employer pays a mileage allowance for business trips, enter it as the vehicle's default rate, for example 0.30 €/km.
- When a trip becomes a business trip and has no rate yet, the vehicle's rate is copied into the trip.
- You can change the rate for each trip in the trip details.
- The rate stays in the trip if you later change its type; existing trips are not filled in afterwards.
- Only business trips count for the reimbursement. The statistics show it per month and year and point out business trips without a rate.
Leave the field empty if you get no reimbursement.
Ownership periods
Every vehicle has ownership periods. They decide which trips count for you, for example in the statistics.
- Deregister / reactivate: reactivation starts a new active period from the selected date. Earlier periods and trips stay unchanged in the history.
- Transfer ownership: the current period ends on the transfer date; from then on the vehicle belongs to the new owner. Trips of other users are not shared by the transfer.
- Archive: archived vehicles move to the Archive tab, keep their trips and history, and can be restored.
Sharing
Share a vehicle with other users so they can record their own trips with it. See sharing and permissions.
